How far in advance can I plan my event?

To properly plan your event, it may be confirmed as far as 1 year in advance. Your banquet will be confirmed once a member of our management team receives the room fee, deposit, and signed contract.

When do I need to confirm my final number of guests?

Both attendance and meal changes need to be confirmed at lest 72 hours prior to your event. The final count allows the management team to set-up the room, staff, and order accordingly. You will be charged for the confirmed number of guests.

How does my deposit work?

A signed contract and deposit are required to confirm all events booked at The Boathouse. The deposit is applied to the final bill when paying for the banquet. A function must be cancelled at least 30 days in advance for your deposit to be refunded.

Am I allowed to bring a cake or bottles of wine for my event?

No food or drink may be brought into the restaurant except for a pre-arranged cake or dessert. The cake service/dessert fee is $1.50 per person. You may bring in up to 4 bottles of a special wine with a corkage fee of $15.00 per bottle, if the wine is not be available on The Boathouse wine list. The Boathouse management must approve all food and beverages brought into the restaurant.

What additional costs can I expect?

All Municipal, State, and Federal taxes will be added to the final total. A 4% service charge to cover linen costs, personal menu creation will be added to the bill as well. A gratuity of 18%-20% is suggested and can be added to the final bill by the guest.

When is complete payment due?

Payment is due at the conclusion of the banquet in the form of cash, cashiers check or accepted credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express). Any payment by business check must be pre-approved by a manager. We do not allow separate checks; one check will be presented for the entire banquet.

Am I allowed to bring in my own decorations?

Yes, decorations are welcome. All decorating must comply with local health and safety codes and must be pre-approved by a manager. No profane or inappropriate decorations are allowed in the restaurant. We ask that no rice or confetti be thrown at the event and that nothing be taped, tacked or nailed to any surface.

Is outside entertainment allowed for my event?

We do allow outside entertainment, however, any acoustic or amplified music must be approved in advance. Certain restrictions may apply.

Additional Regulations and Information:

-The patron assumes full responsibility with respect to state and municipal laws as they pertain to the patron's guest's conduct. No alcoholic beverage service will be provided to persons under the age of 21. All guests, regardless of age, must be able to provide proper identification when ordering or consuming alcohol.

-The patron assumes full responsibility for damage to the premises caused by the patron & their guests.

-The Boathouse remains harmless in the event of loss or destruction of personal property.

-An additional fee will apply for special linen, set up, cleanup, cake cutting, and minimum bar charges where appropriate. If an event exceeds the allotted time in the contract, an hourly fee will be charged and due upon conclusion of the event.
