Many of your specials require an additional purchase, what is that?

All of our weekly specials, and monthly birthday promotion, require an additional purchase. This means that each person must order something with the special. It can be anything; a beverage, side, appetizer, dessert, your choice.

Do you take reservations?

Yes, we do take reservations. While we do not require reservations, we always recommend them. Unfortunately, we cannot reserve window seating.

How do I find out the date of the monthly birthday celebration?

Our monthly birthday celebration generally falls on the last Thursday of the month, depending on other holidays and events. To find out the date for your birthday month, visit our website, sign up for our email list, or call The Boathouse directly.

Can I use my restaurant.com gift certificate at your restaurant?

Yes, we accept restaurant.com promotional gift certificates. The gift certificate may only be used on regularly priced items, and restrictions on the printed certificate must be followed. A printed copy of the restaurant.com must be presented to your server upon being seated.

Do you accept the entertainment book coupon?

We are participants in the entertainment book. You may use up to 3 entertainment coupons per table. All rules and regulations listed in the entertainment book do apply. No separate checks please.

Do you have more than one location in San Diego?

Our newest location, Harley Gray Kitchen & Bar, is now open in Mission Hills. The Boathouse also has sister restaurants in Santa Cruz, CA, Capitola, CA and Lahaina, HI.

Are dogs allowed on your patio?

We do offer outdoor patio seating to our patrons. However, we do not allow dogs other than service animals specifically trained to aid a disabled person.

Do you have elevator/handicap accessibility?

The Boathouse offers a service elevator for those who are not able to use the stairs at our main entrance. The elevator is located down the hallway to the right of our staircase. Please follow the posted instructions to ring for assistance. Island.

Do Harbor Island West slip holders get a discount?

We offer a 20% discount on all regularly priced food items to current slip holders in the Harbor Island West marina. This discount excludes specials, alcohol and promotions. Please provide your slip number to your server to obtain your discount. Not valid on holidays.

What is your dress code?

The Boathouse is unique in that we cater to all types of occasions. If you are coming in for dinner after a day of sailing in your shorts and t-shirt, you will not be out of place. If you are celebrating your anniversary in cocktail attire, you will find others are dressed the same. We do not enforce a dress code, and encourage everyone to dress according to the occasion.

Is your restaurant kid-friendly?

We are a family friendly restaurant, and offer a menu for children under 12 years old. Coloring, kid's cups, and booster seats/high chairs are also available.

Do you have free parking?

The Boathouse shares two large parking lots with the Harbor Island West Marina. The parking is complimentary for guests, and no validation is necessary. However our parking is subject to availability and can fill up on busy holiday weekends. We cannot guarantee parking on holiday weekends.

Can I order food to-go?

We allow to-go orders on all of our regularly priced items. Happy hour food and specials may not be ordered to-go. Alcoholic beverages must stay on The Boathouse premises.
